As an International Exchange Coordinator (IEC), you play a key role in the world of cultural exchange. You bring cultures together in your community by connecting foreign exchange students, high schools and host families. The role is part-time, flexible and volunteer-spirited.

Help host families choose their student
This is where you get to play matchmaker. Find out the family’s interests, hobbies and preferences. Then, show them student profiles that would fit their lifestyle.
Build relationships with schools
Work with local high schools and encourge them to welcome EF exchange students into their classrooms.

Engage with your community
Be the face of exchange! Promote the program in your local community through small events, presentations or via social media.
Exchange coordinators are compensated for each exchange student they match with a family and for supervising all their students during the year. In addition to the financial compensation, IECs earn travel rewards and gain access to a nationwide network.
